Jeremy Bentham, who established the principles of utilitarianism, that an action should result in the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people. In keeping with his last will, his body was preserved and sits in a glass cabinet at the college. Urban legends claim it is taken to board meetings, where it is listed as "present but not voting."
